Down on the Sunset Tattoo Strip

Sunset Strip Tattoo in Los Angeles is the hot spot going down on the strip with tattoo star celebrities.  This infamous LA tattoo shop has a throng of notches in it’s belt when it comes to servicing stars with tattoos.

The naughty girl, bad boy, sexual connotation of tattoos automatically lead insinuating minds to thoughts of X-list porn stars with tattoos, rather than an A-list of celebrity tattoo stars.

Although, the Sunset Strip A-listers include some of Hollywood’s most unrestrained celebrity personalities such as Johnny Depp, Mark Wahlberg, Angelina Jolie, and Pamela Anderson people shouldn’t assume inky stars are all kinky stars.

It is fair to say both celebrity stars and tattoos attract attention. Whether on the small of the back, the nape of the neck, or somewhere in between tattoos definitely have a way of making some people fantasize about un covering more private tattoos hiding beneath clothing.

And there are many celebrity stars willing and proud to bare their skin to reveal their tattoos, like Megan Fox.  As for porn stars, you can bet money on seeing every inch of their inky porn star tattoos however it just might not be the strip down on the sunset tattoo strip that got you reading this.

Rib Tattoos Remove Tramp Stamp Tattoo Trend

The economy may be heading in the wrong direction, but that doesn’t mean tattoos are, especially women tattoos.  These days tattoos are looking up, or rather moving up for women.  The new rising tattoo trend has women removing tattoo “stamps” on their lower backs, and opting for the new sexy tattoo trend — Rib Tattoos.

Almost as soon as the derogatory, sexually humiliating term “tramp stamp” reared women with lower back tattoos began getting tattoo removal and trading in their tainted tattoos for new sexy rib tattoos that crawl up the side of their bodies.

Today’s weak economy is changing the tattoo industry in terms of women’s tattoo trends.  Although, the rate of women getting their first tattoos doesn’t seem to be decreasing, the amount of money women are spending on their tattoos is.

Other emerging tattoo trends for women are celebrity name tattoos, especially popular these days Nicole Richie rosaries; vintage American tattoos such as skulls, hearts, stars, and anchors; Japanese (koi fish, ocean waves) styles; as well as a swing from English-style block lettering to fancier script letters.

Expect many women to follow the celebrity tattoo trends of Megan Fox and her rib cage tattoo with the words “There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her HEART” until someone creates a derogatory, sexually humiliating term for women rib cage tattoos like “Ho handle.”

Pamela Anderson tattoo removal barbwire

Pamela Anderson’s Says Good Bye to Her Famous Tattoos with Removal

Pamela Anderson is a famous celebrity model and actress who has achieved extraordinary fame sticking to her own philosophy and principles.  Pamela has navigated her way through the false-hearted world of being a famous female celebrity, and a tumultuous love life by taking chances and battling heartache.  Yet through it all Pamela Anderson remains a woman of fortitude with no regrets.  Well, maybe a little tattoo regret.

It seems Pamela Anderson is considering tattoo removal to remove a few regrettable tattoos she has collected along the way.  And, the reason the 40-year-old female celebrity actress wants tattoo removal in order to remove tattoos before they start becoming an “eyesore.”

Pamela, like so many other women with tattoos wanting tattoo removal is being to see the effects age and hard living can have on the body’s skin and tattoos.

Despite the rumors of the reason for Pamela Anderson’s tattoo removal on her arm (famous barbwire tattoo) and back tattoos, she is not removing tattoos because she wants to be a good mom now.  The truth is, Pamela Anderson believes she’s always been a good mom, and people with tattoos aren’t any less of parents for having tattoos.

Even though she’s a famous celebrity the reason for Pamela Anderson’s tattoo removal is the same reason many women regret tattoos—gravity.  And, maybe a little sex, drugs, and rock n roll regret too.

NBA Tattoos Gone Bad

Delving about the worldwide web this morning, in search of informative, interesting, or just plan offbeat tattoo trends I happened across a post with the heading Bad Ideas with InkThis post worth sharing, displays a running list of photos of professional sports athletes with bad tattoos.

Obviously, NBA players are infamous for having tattoos these days but NBA players are also known as not being the most innovative in their choice of tattoos.

It’s not surprising to see several NBA players on a list of bad tattoos, just because these guys are BAD on the court playing ball (which means good) it doesn’t make there tattoos good to look at on or off the court.

So what’s up with pro basketball players getting basketball tattoos?  Do they feel having tattoos is a prerequisite of being an NBA player?  Evidently so, judging by the lack of originality and taste in tattoos on the professional basketball court.

Here’s a fun game to play, count how many professional basketball players have basketball tattoos.  Do you think all of these NBA players get basketball tattoos because they are proud to be playing basketball for a living?  Or do you think they get basketball tattoos because it will make them almighty and at one with the game?  Apparently the jury is still out on some of these NBA players with bad tattoos, like Deron Williams which seems all his ink has gone to his head.

oh yeah my wife... yeah

Then there are the “clever” tattoos of the NBA.  Kobe Bryant is a great example on the court, but he is no leader when it comes to getting tattoos.  Although, Kobe getting his wife’s name tattooed on his arm may not be such a bad idea.  After all, Kobe is a celebrity player (in every sense) that is well-known for needing frequent reminders that he is married with a wife.  Okay, so there are a few NBA tattoos that are functional even though they are really BAD (correct use of word) looking.

Angelina Branded for Celebrity Tattoos

"that which feeds me destroys me"

Angelina Jolie is without a doubt one of Hollywood’s most famously known actresses of all times.  This celebrity actress has appeared in numerous films throughout her career, yet Angelina’s female celebrity fame is branded more so for her personal endeavors covered heavily in ink by the media.

Angelina branded for her humanitarian work, being an adoption parent and mother of six children, her former marriage to ex Billy-Bob Thorton, her notorious relationship with celebrity heart throb Brad Pitt, and her ongoing tabloid feud with Pitt’s ex Jennifer Aniston.  But perhaps the most recognized aspect this female celebrity is infamous for is her branded collection of black tattoos.

With a celebrity tattoo collection of more than a dozen black tattoos dispersed about her stunning body, Angelina Jolie’s black tattoos do not seem to be fading her celebrity’s acclaim.  She is the most popular female celebrity with tattoos covered in “ink.”

Evident of the cache of articles (including this one) and photos of Angelina Jolie tattoos available on the Internet, Jolie is a major celebrity influence causing the black tattoo trend, that some even label as a tattoo phenomenon among females getting tattoos.

Angelina’s 13 assorted black tattoos of multi lingual characters, words and saying are clearly representative of her fanatic yet exotic personality that captivates Brad Pitt.

Angie’s latest series of black tattoos on her left arm represents each birthplace of her six children, as well as serving to covers up her ex’s name tattoo.

And fans imitating celebrity tattoos such as Angelina’s should also remember celebrities are people too, and their tattoos are often targets for removal.  Angelina has had her share of laser tattoo removal and cover up work on several of her tattoos.

As the black tattoo trend continues with female fans getting celebrity tattoos in fashion with Hollywood’s A-listers keep in mind that even Angelina Jolie makes tattoo mistakes too.

NBA Tattoos Super Size Ink

Super-Shaq-Man Tattoo

Ten years ago, 35 percent of NBA players had tattoos, yet Dennis Rodman was the only player with tattoos that people bothered acknowledging, and when they did he was thought to be a bit of a freak.

Fast forward ten years to today, and the “ink coverage” on the NBA basketball courts has doubled with approximately 70 percent of the NBA player organization having tattoos.

This is not to say other professional sport affiliations, such as the NFL and NHL do not have a fair share of athletes with tattoos under wraps.  In fact, under wraps is the key here as NBA player uniforms reveal more skin compared to other professional sport uniforms, making the NBA appear as a tattoo skin expose.

All of the high profile celebrity tattoo coverage in the media makes NBA player tattoos similar to the other brand labels celebrities wear and endorse.  Pro basketball players’ tattoos are becoming conditioned as a marketing brand.

Among the more notoriously known tattooed NBA athletes is super-Shaq-man.  This super-size talent comes equip with a super size ego and a superman tattoo.  Shaq’s tattoo is clearly a representation of how the man feels about himself.

Although, Rodman reigned before him, it is Allen Iverson that most fingers point the blame too when it comes to replacing the NBA’s iconic Michael Jordan (no words needed to describe this man) with cornrows, thuggish street wear, and graphic tattoo designs that are now so infamously popular in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury, Rasheed Wallace, Larry Hughes, Gilbert Arenas, and J.R. Smith are also a few fellow fellows who happen to be tattoo fanatics popular among fans.

Although, now a busy mom of six, Angelina wasted no time getting two new tattoos after the July birth of her twins with partner Brad Pitt.

The newest pair added to the celebrity mom’s tattoo addition are a set of longitude and latitude coordinates tattooed on Jolie’s left arm that reference the location of the birth place of Brangelina Twins, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon.

It’s a good thing Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson is one of the richest celebrity hip-hop rappers-businessman with his G-Unit record label, clothing line, and other endeavors, because 50 cents doesn’t cover the cost of much in the way of tattoo removal.

Celebrity Addiction Idolized Tattoos

For Hollywood celebrities, the name of the game is “Fame.”  Celebrities are in a constant struggle to standout, and be singled out as Mr. or Ms. “Famous of the Moment,” and hopefully longer.  Many of Hollywood’s rising celebrities are obsessed with the addiction of media attention, and will do anything from getting tattoos, to starve their bodies, even jail time to obtain fame.

Then you have the celebrity feeding ground of innocent, ordinary young female icon influenced followers imitating celebrity trends from dress, to hairstyles, down to getting tattoos

But the lives of glamorous celebrities and those of the heavily persuaded icon-iacs are far cries from each other.  Trying to pull off tattoos like Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and any other celeb A-listers with tattoos … just doesn’t cut it on the cul-de-sac curbs of small-town suburbia.

When ordinary people, especially young women see celebrities they idolize and worship, going out and getting ornate tattoos, on highly visible body areas, these impulsive idol mimickers go out and get the same tattoos.  And it isn’t pretty.  It isn’t funny.  And it isn’t cool.

The trend doesn’t have to be tattoos, it could be any celebrity trend, it just happens to be celebrity tattoos at the moment.  Any number of Hollywood’s female celebrities could walk down the street wearing a dress of soiled dirty dishrags and the all the “Celebrity Wanna-Bs” would cause a rise in Walmart stocks the next day, as a result of an unexpected dishrag shortage in isle sevens across America.

Its called Celebrity Tattoo Icon-aholic Addiction and it is a serious disease spreading among young American women under the influence of HollywoodCTIA causes ordinary, wholesome all American Girls to waste away on Google searching for tattoo pictures of their favorite celebrity icons to emulate.

If you don’t believe how serious celebrity tattoo addiction is, conduct a Google search using the keywords “celebrity tattoos” and it will yield thousands of links to sites and directories with images of celebrity tattoos.

These celebrity tattoo directories list thousands of actors and actresses who have tattoos, and the type of tattoos they have.  These directories also list where celebrity tattoos are located on the body, when the actor or actress got the tattoos, and even the name of the tattoo artists tattooing the famous.

It is incredible what you will find on the Internet about celebrity tattoos.  But what you will also find is very little information about CTIA.  The status of popular celebrity trends prevails the seriousness of celebrity idolization and addictions whether the trend is tattoos, eating disorders, or baby bumps.

Fake Fashion with Temporary Tattoos

Fake is Fashionable

It’s true, “fake” really is the “in trend” in fashion these days.  It seems tattoos of the not-so-permanent kind are the “hip style” when it comes to accessorizing.  Even though they are fake, temporary tattoos make “real” sassy fashion statements, not to mention great topics of conversation.

Another bonus, fake tattoos offer a way to step outside your comfort zone, while staying clear of the all to common ground of ‘tattoo regret.’

Temporary tattoos are becoming trendier then their trend-setting etched counterparts.  Not-so-permanent tattoos offer a means of emulating the reckless abandonment of permanent ink without the aftermath of regret and the hassle of tattoo removal

Fake tatts are popping up everywhere, and on everyone. Famous celebrities, professional athletes, and supermodels are faking ink in the movies, advertising commercials, and in magazine fashion spreads.

With fake celebritiy tattoos fueling the hip ink frenzy, companies like TattooFashionTemptu, and Tattoo Shock, are having a grand ride aboard the temporary tattoo bandwagon.

So, if you are considering temporary tattoos, but are worried you’ll look like a fake phony for not digging the real deal, consider this–

Fashion is fleeting and so to fake tattoosPermanent tattoos not so much. Real tattoos are like wearing not-so-hip bell-bottoms when slim skinny cigarette [pants] are in chic.

Let’s be real, fake tattoos are the real deal in fashion these days.  Remember, don’t make a tattoo mistake, and go fake.
